Rules
1. The event is organized as an informal social bikepacking ride in open traffic. Participants ride unsupported and at their own risk.
2. Compliance with applicable laws of the Czech Republic and Germany is mandatory throughout the event. Any violation is solely the participant’s responsibility and will result in disqualification. Furthermore, participants must adhere to responsible outdoor camping etiquette, i.e., “Leave No Trace” (leave no trash or excrement behind, do not damage private property or nature, and do not light fires).
3. The event starts on Friday, May 21, 2027, with riders permitted to set off from 9:00 AM. We will be waiting for you at the finish line until Sunday afternoon.
4. The event starts and finishes at the same location in the village of Český Jiřetín. The route is an out-and-back loop across the Ore Mountains. A portion of the route passes through Germany.
5. Event facilities will be provided based on the number of participants. We anticipate that riders will need space to camp, prepare for the start, rest, and pack up upon finishing. A camping area, drinking water, and toilets will be available to participants. Public parking is available in the village.
6. The event is limited to 50 participants.
7. The event is a celebration of the Ore Mountains. Finishing first is not the goal—health and safety come first.
8 . The route mostly runs off paved roads. If you leave the route for any reason (e.g., sleeping, food, or drinks), you must rejoin it at the exact same point. This rule does not apply in cases of impassable obstacles on the route.
9. Given the nature of the event, the following mandatory equipment is required:
A puncture repair kit, emergency foil blanket, front and rear lights with sufficient battery capacity, headlamp, waterproof jacket, power bank, cycling helmet, mobile phone with the Záchranka app installed (along with a charging cable for your power bank), and health insurance covering the section of the route in Germany.
10. The fee to cover event costs is 1000 CZK and must be sent to the organizer’s bank account according to the instructions provided to each participant after registration.
11. At the start of the event, participants will receive a brevet card, the route GPX file, and tips on spots for overnight stays or water replenishment.
12. Detailed event instructions will be sent to each participant’s registration email no later than one week before the event.
13. In order to register you and notify you of any organizational updates, we need to process your name, email address, and phone number. We use these details strictly for organizing this ride and ensuring your safety on the route. We do not share your contact information with anyone. Following the event, we retain these details only as long as necessary to settle organizational matters and prepare for the next edition.
14. Please note that photos and video recordings will be taken during the event for documentation and coverage purposes. This media may be published on our website and social channels. If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify us in person before the ride begins or at any time afterward so we can remove the relevant footage.
