Start & Finish: The event starts and finishes at the same location in the village of Český Jiřetín.
Route Details: The route forms a loop through the Ore Mountains, taking you out and back. A portion of the trail runs along the border in Germany.
The route is planned along roads, tracks, and trails that we have ridden many times. Because it is impossible to inspect the entire route shortly before the event, some sections may be difficult to navigate or ride through, primarily due to forestry work and logging. We kindly ask participants to keep their spirits up in these situations and overcome obstacles in the simplest way possible.
There are two official shortcuts on the route.
We expect minor adjustments to the route following inspection of individual sections. The total distance and elevation gain will remain roughly the same.
Route conditions
Recommended Equipment: The route leads partially off paved roads. Recommended bikes are a gravel bike (tyres 45 mm+) or an MTB hardtail.
Route Integrity: If a participant leaves the route for any reason, they must rejoin it at the exact same point. This rule does not apply in cases of impassable obstacles on the route.
